Calixo, Inc. was founded by four partners who believe the record should serve the clinician — not the other way around. Calixo turns the encounter into completed clinical work through natural voice, while keeping the physician in full control.

Our mission
Documentation, ordering, and coding have quietly become the bulk of a physician's day. The interface gets in the way of the conversation that matters — the one with the patient.
Calixo flips that. The physician speaks naturally; Calixo listens, retrieves from the chart with citations, surfaces guideline-based recommendations, and drafts the notes, orders, and codes. The physician verifies on screen and signs off. The assistant does the work; the clinician keeps the judgment.
Our long-term goal is a fully AI-native EMR. We get there by integrating with the systems clinicians already use — Epic, Cerner, athena, and others — via FHIR and HL7, and earning the right to stand alone.
What we believe
Augment, never replace
Calixo adds a voice-driven assistant on top of the physician's existing tools. The mouse, keyboard, and screen remain first-class at every step.
Grounded or silent
Every answer is tied to the patient's chart with a citation. If Calixo can't ground a claim, it doesn't make it.
The physician authorizes
Calixo drafts notes, orders, and codes. Nothing clinically actionable is transmitted without explicit physician sign-off.

Full observability, bias monitoring, and audit-ready traces — so safety and quality are measured every day, not assumed.

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Co-founder of Insat Health Care LLC and co-creator of Calixo. With more than 25 years of experience across clinical, administrative, and leadership roles, he brings a rare end-to-end understanding of how medicine gets practiced — and where it breaks down. His clinical work within the VA health system showed him how much of a physician's day is lost to documentation and administrative tasks. Calixo is his answer: a platform that lets physicians speak naturally while it handles notes, orders, coding, and guideline-driven decision support in the background, always keeping the physician in control of every clinical decision.

Co-founder of Insat Health Care LLC and a practicing nephrologist with nearly two decades of clinical experience. His years of caring for patients with complex kidney disease within a large integrated health system have given him deep insight into how clinical workflows, documentation systems, and care coordination work at scale. That experience directly shapes Calixo's clinical foundation — including its guideline-driven decision support and renal-focused safety rules — ensuring the platform reflects how specialists actually think and practice.
